Before you begin
Ask your Eye-share administrator to set up API access for Watchdog. You will need:Connect in Watchdog
- Open Integrations and select Eye-Share.
- Select Add connection.
- Enter the details from your administrator.
- Select Test Connection to check access.
- Save the connection.
For the Eye-share administrator
Create an API client for Watchdog usingclient_credentials authentication and the api scope.
The client needs access to:
- search for invoices
- download invoice attachments and original electronic invoice files
- read supplier information through
flatdata
costinvoice and purchaseorder modules, depending on which modules are available in your Eye-share environment. Check access for the modules and companies you want to use.
Different company codes for each module
If the modules use different company codes, open Settings → Credentials on the Watchdog connection. Enter the codes under Cost invoice company codes and Purchase order company codes. You can enter multiple codes. Leave a field empty to use the default company code for that module. Changes apply to future synchronizations. To import historical invoices from a company you have added, start a manual synchronization for the relevant period. Eye-share provides administrator documentation through its support portal. Ask your administrator or Eye-share for help with your environment’s setup. If the connection test reports a problem
- Sign-in fails: Check the base URL, client ID, and client secret.
- Access is missing: Ask your administrator to check invoice and attachment access for the relevant companies.
- No invoices or documents are found: The test checks a sample only. Check the company code and confirm that invoices with PDF or XML documents are available in Eye-share.
