# Connect Visma Business NXT to Watchdog

> Connect Visma Business NXT to Watchdog and grant access to invoices and documents.

Connect Visma Business NXT to retrieve invoices, credit notes, outstanding balances, and their PDF or XML documents in Watchdog. Watchdog does not change records in Business NXT.

## Before you begin

Ask your Business NXT administrator to grant Watchdog access as described below. You need the company number for the company you want to connect.

## Connect in Watchdog

1. Open **Integrations → Visma Business NXT** and add a connection.
2. Enter the company number your administrator has granted access to.
3. Select **Test Connection**, then save the connection.

Each connection covers one company. Create another connection for each additional company.

## For the Business NXT administrator

The person performing setup needs the **Application access** and **System supervisor** roles in Visma.net Admin.

### Register Watchdog

1. Open a layout containing the **User** table in Business NXT and show the **Connect Application** column.
2. Add a user with Watchdog's client ID as its name, and select **Connect application** before saving.

### Grant company access

1. Open the **Connect Application Access** table and add the user.
2. Select the company by entering its company number.
3. Assign an access group that can read `IncomingAccountingDocument` and `OpenSupplierEntry`, and use **View documents** for incoming accounting documents.
4. Save. Repeat the company access setup for any other companies.

## If access is missing

Check that the username matches the client ID, **Connect application** is selected, and the access group covers the company number entered in Watchdog. If invoices appear without documents, also check access to **View documents**.
